Why does it seem like everybody is getting an accounting degree?

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

and all are gonna try to get a cpa?
Doesn’t this indicate a flood of accountants on the market?
Should I find a diff. career path?

Accounting is one of the few fields that seems to be paying off right now. It will get glutted, though, if this rush keeps up. I wouldn’t go into Accounting unless I truly felt it was the right path for me. Everything gets glutted eventually; I have even heard that New Grad nurses are having a hard time getting jobs. Everybody rushed into Nursing School because it was a sure job! Find out what is right for you, because this Great Recession won’t last forever.

Is Clickbank a good and trustworthy affiliate marketing program. Has it had any fraud incidents?

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

I am a Clickbank affiliate marketer and so far I have made 2 sales worth 60$. But I have a sort of suspicion that some of my commissions are not getting into my account. Can it be?
Also someone tell me how their hoplink tracking system works. I click on my hoplinks but I see no addition to the number of hoplink clicks on clickbank, I do it again but nothing. I even go to the product order form but still no order form impression count. Is their system faulty.
I want to know before I waste my energy on them.

I use ClinkBank and others. They are legit. Hoplinks will not show up because of cookies on your own browser that they know its you. There are other programs that are very good as well. One thing is that you should not have to PAY to become an affiliate. I personally like reselling for a company that designs websites for contractors.

These guys build websites and offer $50 for any lead you send them that turns into a sale. They have a full blown automated affiliate program so all you need to do is promote their services on your blog or website. If a visitor likes what they read and click on your link to their site and they place an order, the software will send you $50 in your PayPal account. You almost always need a PayPal account for affiliate programs ( or a real business bank account ).

I hope this has been helpful.

What is an effective and successful marketing technique for a CPA firm? I was deciding b/t postcards or letter?

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

I am open to any suggestions. I just don’t want my marketing investment to turn into junk mail.

Well . . . it is junk mail. You just want the best chance that people will read the junk mail that you paid to send out.

For me, I won’t even read a letter from someone I don’t know, it goes straight to the shred pile. A post card, however, I’ll at least glance at on its way to the shred pile. So the chance that something on a card catches my eye is far greater than a letter.

Does the five year accounting program at a school to become a cpa require to take the gmat?

Monday, April 12th, 2010

I’m on my second semester of junior year and want to switch to accounting from marketing. Am I required to take the gmat for the 5 year program and is the 5 year program considered a masters in Accounting or just extra credits that allow me to take the cpa exam

Most of these programs I’ve seen are simply extended 150 credit hour bachelors programs to meet CPA examination requirements. Therefore no GMAT is needed for these programs. However, on the odd chance that it is a 4+1 program (a bachelors plus masters program), continuation into the fifth year is generally contingent upon your performance thus far in the program, hence, usually no GMAT!

Good luck!

How Many actually People GET RICH by…?

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

The types of responses people on YA generally give about wealth are sickening to me. It becomes quickly obvious why most will NEVER get rich. Their pessimism becomes a self-fulling prophecy. I have decided to offer a few pearls of wisdom (which I am 100% certain will be misconstrued by the pessimists) and to ask a simple question.

Read first then answer question at the end please:

WEALTH TIPS:

01). Not every business opportunity is a "scam". In fact MOST of them DO make serious money for some of the people who operate them. Like everything else in life it really primarily depends upon YOU.
02). Working hard is NOT the only way to get rich. (Only the poor say differently).
03). The paths to wealth are laid out clearly for any who are sincere and will follow them.
04). Your biggest obstacle to wealth is in your own negative attitudes and with the way that you think which, for most people, is oriented towards failure and …if you’re lucky, Mediocrity at best.
05). Small investments can lead to great wealth if you have vision and understand what you are investing in and it’s potential value. (Personally earned over $400,000 from investing in a few $60 domain names before the big companies realized they would later want them.)
06). If you keep your ear close to the heartbeat of any industry you can get wealthy if you are one of the first to take advantage as the inevitable changes come within that industry. (Making money with Pay Per Click (PPC) was as easy as shooting fish in a barrel in the beginning and I made a fortune with it.) If you’d known cell phones were coming way before most ever heard of them as I did you could have made a fortune investing in the future of them.
07). The opportunities in the stock market, forex, futures markets is still HUGE if, if and only IF you know what you are doing today. Volatility is a good thing if you understand it and know how to take advantage of it.
08). It is foolish to think that a college or university professor earning maybe $78,000/year IF he’s lucky, actually is a good source for teaching you about wealth. (Ask him to tell you his net worth then run in the opposite direction if he’s less than a millionaire himself. (He can perhaps help you to get a job though.)
09). The dot com bubble bust caused a LOT of investors to make a fortune and to do so quickly as people bailed out of these stocks (because we saw it coming and understood short selling).
10). The real estate bubble bursting has caused a lot of us to make fortunes (and we continue to) because we understand how this game works.
11). Any and EVERY major change in society, good or bad, including 911; the recession; hurricane Katrina; elections; court decisions ALL of them contain hidden within them unique new opportunities to create wealth for those who understand these things.
12). Anyone can create wealth by understanding and using the power of simple multiplication as taught in 4th grade math. (If you can earn a net profit of just $10 a month from just one web site then why can’t you duplicate that and create 1000 similar sites for $10,000 a month? If you can hire one person to sell a product and earn you a lousy $50/day profit (after his commissions) then why can’t you get 10 to do the same and earn you $500/day?
13). Anybody could start an affiliate marketing business today for ZERO. If you’re just starting then there is a LOT that you’ll need to learn before you really get good and know what you’re doing but all you have to do is sign up then start promoting.
14). Creating a money-making web site or blog with adsense ads, affiliate links; PPA ads etc. is actually easy and can be done in just minutes once you know what you’re doing. The key is traffic which is actually easy to get if you know what you’re doing.
15). You do NOT need money or good credit to buy investment real estate IF you known what successful investors know.
16). You can learn all that you need to know to get rich without paying for the knowledge (and NO, I have NOTHING to sell you here.)
17). Pessimists and naysayers are always very vehemently outspoken about what does not or cannot work and it is very important to them that you believe them and do what they do …NOTHING. They need to justify their own mediocrity and their failures in life.
18). What poor parents teach their children is diametrically opposed to what the rich teach our children. They are sometimes polar opposite. The poor are poor yet too proud to admit that they don’t know what they don’t know and that what they think they know is quite obviously WRONG.

QUESTION: Why is this type of truth as I have espoused here so offensive to the ones who actually need to hear it the most? Why will MOST people ignore and NEVER explore the simple truths that I have espoused here and will instead come up with their usual pessimistic vitriol based on their own failures?

Why won’t most admit that they don’t know what they don’t know and what they th
Jeeves… people like you are quite annoying. Nobody is impressed with you being a "web developer". Most web developers know squat about making money online which is all about focusing on a niche and driving targeted traffic to it. Unfortunately people get people like you to develop sites for them and they don’t know and apparently you also have no idea how to drive traffic or you would show them. It’s not them and it’s not the site… the problem is YOU. You should find something else to do with you life. My 12 year old son can design web sites (and probably is better at it than you because I taught him everything. I’m not impressed TROLL.
Jeeves you are incredibly and unbelievable and inexcusably naive if you use YOUR personal failures or that of others to draw a conclusion. YOUR failures of the failure of those who use your crappy(obviously) site does not prove anything to be wrong. MOST people will fail at any and everything BECAUSE they are too much like YOU. THAT is the only "theory" that I have and YOU just prove it to be correct.

you have my attention… where do I start to learn what you know?

what can you tell me about affiliate marketing?

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

im new to it and interested in learning what i can do to make it profitable. i understand it can take up to a year or longer learning it but what can i do in the meantime to learn more? im interested in making a green blog eventually and promoting specific products for that niche. what do you think?

thanks for your answers!

That’s a very simple answer. Affiliate Marketing is no other thing than selling other peoples stuff or products and you get commissions on what ever you sell. Look at it this way, I have a computer blog with some ebay affiliate links and every time a visitor on my website clicks on an ebay ad and makes a purchase i get paid.
Promoting green products like you say is a great niche. For further information you’re more than invited to see my source and if you’re interested in affiliate marketing and don’t know anything about website building buy your own already build affiliate website.
