No it’s not illegal. Check clickbank TOS to be sure they don’t have a problem with it though. Any of them who have any sense would just bypass you and start their own clickbank account though

I have been doing affiliate marketing using Clickbank.
I have wrote over 300 articles and submitted them to ezinearticles and now I am getting 100 UV a day and making $300-$400 month.

Can you really make a living with Clickbank and article marketing?

I do not have squeeze pages, not email capture only a landing page with some content with a link to the vendor page.

It seems like you already know what to do. I mean, if you can make $400, then that is good. Most affiliates can not even make 1 sale. Well, the ones who are able to make a living do SEO. What they do is make backlinks and then Google detects them and then their page rank increases. Eventually they get to the #1 spot on the Google search, that is pretty much the jackpot right there. Being at the #1 spot gets tons of free traffic. I’ve seen alot of #1 spots being websites that are just blogs, doesn’t even have to be a real paid domain such as these 2 –>

It is pretty much an online job and you can make a lot of money if you’re good. I will use bodybuilding as an example. There is a lot of competition and many products (supplements) on the market. A retailer (the parent) may be trying to sell his products, but does not want to spend money putting up ads on bodybuilding-related websites because it can get expensive.

This is where an affiliate marketer comes in. You can create your own separate individual website with your own money to attract viewers. You can attract viewers by giving advice and writing articles on bodybuilding. You can promote your "parent’s" products with links. The links will redirect your viewers to your "parent’s" website where they will purchase the products. The parent will be able to track which affiliate website redirected customers to their site. If the viewer purchases a product from the parent, you will get commission.

You are basically a promoter for the parent company. It is cheaper for the parent because they will pay you only when a sale was successful from your website’s referral.

Currently I do not pay for PPC Ads (I use a different method at the moment) and am kind of a n00b to PPC

What I would be really happy with is 500 targeted Clicks per day.. BUT I ran a cost per impression advert on Facebook which failed miserably..

Is PPC Different? I mean if i set a budget which equaled 500 clicks per day on google ads would i achieve this?

Can i ask why you want to go down the PPC route when you’re new to it all? It can get very expensive and it really isn’t the type of thing you want to use trial and error with, because the error will cost you a load.

I would suggest you just reply on SEO at first to get free traffic to your web pages. You will have to do careful niche and keyword research, but there are niches and products that you can target that will get you a lot of traffic and are fairly uncompetitive, especially if you target physical products rather than digital products.

You can still see fairly quick results if you choose the right niche and product, and you won’t lose your shirt while doing so. You can learn more about PPC as you go, and once you feel you have taken in enough information about it (and you have filled up your bank account from your SEO exploits) you can always give it a go then.

There are still a lot of excellent opportunities selling physical products, and you won’t find anywhere near the competition as for selling digital products.

I believe that if you like the product or service your promoting, than it is worth it. If your passionate about fashion, than you can promote fashion sites products and services. The main point is to sell merchandises that you are interested and have knowledge of. This way it wouldn’t be too hard to promote and you would have more information if there are questions thrown your way. Affiliate marketing isn’t easy either. You have to make sure to advertise, promote the product in the right niche area or there isn’t going to be people clicking on your link. The main importance is to target the right people, links banners and text links to blog sites, forums that you are a frequent member. Rapid Action Profts (RAP) uses paypal, so you don’t have to wait on CJ or Clickbank to send the checks. It’s more expensive, but it’s really good.

What you need to do is pick better terms. The more specific a term the better the conversion rate will be. For instance, the term jewelery will bring alot of traffic but not alot of sales however the term discount 14k gold bracelet will most likely generate users who are ready to buy.

The trick is to find as many low cost, highly targeterd terms as you can to target in your ppc campaign and stop using broad un qualified terms. Here are some sites that can help you find better words.

What most people will not tell you is that affiliate marketing is really hard. And there are two main reasons for that:

1. You probably don’t have an email list. If you’ve got your own list, it’s easy. Without that, it’s very difficult, because…

2. There’s lots of competition. When you’re promoting other people’s products, you’re not the only one promoting them. So you’re competing with all the other affiliates for keywords, ranking, etc.

I don’t really have any resources to recommend for you to learn how to get into it, but I will tell you that the one thing that will set you apart from the rest is effective preselling.

If you focus developing great content that’s actually useful to people and mix in some affiliate links, you’ll have a lot better results than if you just try to pitch and promote affiliate products.

And by providing value to others you create a resource that will be shared, revisited and used. I’d recommend using a blog to manage this content and then sometimes – not always – linking to affiliate products inside the blog posts.
