Accounting and CPA Question?
I am going to start pursuing a bachelors in accounting. I was doing research and then came across info about becoming a CPA. What steps do I need to take to become a CPA in the state of Florida or in general? (Just so you know my husband is in the Air Force. Im not sure when he is getting out. But I just want to have my degree and License lined up when he decides to leave later on down the road. I know he doesnt want to stay in forever and make a career out of it. But we’re looking at about 10 years in the service or a little less, about 8.)

You are allowed to take the CPA test in a different state than the one you studied in (I did). It’s the same test no matter where you take it.
However, while I took the exam with a bachelor’s degree many years ago, the eligibility has gotten to tougher. In Florida you need 24 semester hours of Accounting *and* 24 semester hours of Business Classes…(no overlaps). This often makes the coursework a 5 year degree.

Don’t specifically know Florida, but usually a degree in accounting (your BS in accounting would work) or equivalent, some type of current accounting work experience, and passing a test.

sounds like you are well on the way
when you get a degree in accounting, you can take some courses in preparation for the CPA exam, which is administered twice a year
you can take the exam as often as you like, and can pay for
once you have passed the exam, you will need to find someone you can work for two years before you actually are a CPA
