After Affiliate Jump You Don’t Need The CPA Networks

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Getting accepted by the CPA networks has become impossible. 95% of all applicants get rejected often without any explanation. Normally, after the second or third rejection, most affiliates just give up. But fortunately two smart marketers by the name of Mike Filsaime and Joe Holland created a solution.
Their solution comes to the affiliate marketing world under the name of Affiliate Jump.
Not only any affiliate can now promote any CPA offer available out there, but now any affiliate can have an automatic access to a multitude of tools that have never been offered before by any of the CPA networks. It is indeed a very happy day, and a cause for celebration, for tens of thousands of affiliate marketers who have been rejected before.

Affiliate Jump is in fact a CPA network that draws tons of affiliate offers from other affiliate networks. So now all an affiliate needs to do is apply and start driving traffic to any offer he or she decides to promote.  No applicant gets rejected.
Affiliate Jump has become the bridge between the affiliate and the CPA offers that, up until today, were beyond the reach of 95% of all affiliates.

This new CPA network provides their members with the technology to create and host their sites in less then 20 seconds. And because all promotions are handled by them, affiliates get to check all their stats from one place inside their account. This on its own is a huge advantage for the affiliate, simply for the fact that instead of login into many different accounts, as is the case with other networks, now they can do it form one place.
But Affiliate Jump is not only a CPA network, but also a school for affiliates who need coaching. Their tutorials are second to none and cover all aspects of online marketing.
Affiliate Jump is the all-in-one CPA network that does not discriminate.  Be it a Newbie or a seasoned marketer, all is welcome. Any affiliate that joins Affiliate Jump does indeed jump a huge leap forward with a few clicks and one single application.
Many affiliate marketers will remember this day as the day that has changed the face of CPA Marketing forever.

CPA Offers: Play It Fair Or Get Out Of The Game

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Being terribly unregulated, the CPA networks attract some affiliates to promote CPA offers who end up abusing the system. To find out how bad this trend has become, all one needs to do is visit some of the affiliate forums where these cyber thugs gather to share their latest scheme. Their idea of making money is to cheat the CPA network by generating leads unethically. But what these affiliates do not realize is that the game they engage in causes everyone to lose, including, and especially, them.

Most affiliates are honest and do very well with CPA offers; they earn their money the old fashion way – the ethical way.

The problem begins with a group of careless affiliates whose ethics sucks. These are those affiliates who rather spend their creative juices on finding ways to generate bogus leads than play it fair.  They have no qualms about building a landing page using fake testimonials and making outrageous claims about an offer. They are so blinded by their greed that nothing else is important to them.

But like all thieves, they end up hiding or running.  Living in constant fear of being caught, they try to keep a low profile, moving form one network to the next. But once caught they will be banned and will not get paid. And once banned from one network, they are practically banned by all, as they are put on the Black list that is shared amongst most networks. The only way such an affiliate can ever re-join those networks is come up with a new identity.

And although the cheaters are the minority, the consequences of their action affect everyone. Here is why: When a network sends the advertiser fake leads, the advertiser can choose not to pay the network. To make up for the loss, the network punishes all their affiliates by shaving off a certain percentage of the actual leads that those affiliates generate. In fact the cheaters’ phenomenon has become so prevalent that shaving off 10% or so is now the standard with most networks.

Until all the CPA networks come up with an efficient system that is able to track how each affiliate generates his/her leads, the rest of those who promote CPA offers the honest way will have to pay the price. The cheaters will do a world of good to themselves and others by playing fair. They must be told in the clearest terms to either play it fair or get out of the game.

CPA Offers and How to Select the Winners

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Unless there is a demand for a specific CPA offer, that offer is of no value to you. Therefore you must be very careful with the offers you select. The two things that work against you with CPA offers are traffic and time. You want to make sure that the keywords associated with the offer can generate high traffic. CPA offers may have a short life span. Therefore, the sooner in the game you begin to promote a good offer the better.

Before wasting your time by building a whole campaign around an offer, the first thing you want to find out is whether there is a demand for the product. Here is how you do it:
Make a list of the most relevant keywords to your product. Once you have that list head to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and determine the search volume for each of the key words in your list.

You want to make sure the approximate monthly number of people who search for you main, most relevant, keywords for the offer are high. Keywords with a motherly search volume of 200 or so are not what you are looking for. You want to see a monthly volume of at least 7 or 8 thousands and the higher the better.

If you are promoting a Caribbean vacation offer here are some of the keywords and the monthly search volume for each.
Caribbean vacation                  673,500
Caribbean vacations                   90,500
Caribbean vacation deals            49,500
Caribbean vacation packages      27,100
Caribbean vacation package         8,100

Now that is something worth going for.  Sometimes you will find that the most relevant keywords to an offer have a monthly search volume in the hundreds of thousands and even in the millions. That’s great! You have just discovered that there is tons of traffic out there. Another way to gauge demand is by using this wonderful free tool by Google: http://www.google.com/insights/search
With it you can compare the search volume across categories, regions and time frames.

And now that you found that the offer is in demand it is your job to generate that traffic to your offer. This is the time to put together a campaign, launch it and see how well you do with it. It is always a good idea to simultaneously launch the same campaign on the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo and MSN. Another good idea is to test the same offer from different CPA networks.

CPA Arbitrage; What on Earth Does it Mean?

Monday, May 18th, 2009

Simply put, arbitrage stands for an effort to profit from a price difference of an action taken on different markets or platforms. In the case of CPA arbitrage all it means is that you, the affiliate, act as a broker buying traffic (example: search engines) for one price then selling it back — in the form of leads — back to the network for a higher price. Confused? Don’t worry it is simple:

Let’s assume you are promoting a CPA offer. You go out there, buy traffic for that particular offer and get it converted for less money than the offer pays. If you are successful in doing so, you earn the difference between what the network pays for that lead and the price you paid to get that lead (conversion).

Here is an example: An X offer pays $5.00 per lead. You launch a PPC campaign and buy traffic for, let’s say 0.25 cents per click. Now let’s assume only 1 out of 10 clicks converts. What is your cost per conversion (lead)?
Cost per conversion: 10 clicks @ $0.25 ea. = $2.50
Your Profit:                              $5.00 – $2.50 = $2.50

Here is what you have done: You took an offer that pays $5.00 per conversion. You purchased traffic and got a conversion that cost you $2.50. That conversion (lead) you sent (sold) back to the network that paid you $5.00 for the trouble. That is exactly what CPA arbitrage stands for; profiting from the difference between the purchase and sell price on two different markets.

Whether they know it or not, all affiliates who promote CPA offers are traffic brokers. They buy traffic at a certain price and sell it back (in the form of a lead) for, hopefully, a higher price. They all engage in CPA Arbitrage. The idea here is to purchase (traffic) low and sell (leads) high. To maximize your profits you must find ways to pay as little as possible for your traffic. PPC is only one of many other approaches you can take to promote CPA offers. The smart affiliates go way beyond paid traffic. They go where traffic is free.

CPA Offers and the Importance of Gauging the Competition

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Before deciding to promote a CPA offer it is always a good idea to find out the level of competition out there. We all dream of finding a ‘hot’ offer with very little, or no, competition, but chances that this will ever happen to you are close to zilch, or at least so is the case for most affiliates. The smart affiliate will often find some loopholes and thus dominate. Knowing how to research your keywords can create this magic for you too.

Here is how you do it:
The first thing you want to do is find out how many ads promoting the same offer are out there. That you accomplish by simply typing in into Google, Yahoo or MSN any of your most relevant keywords. It is the sponsored ads promoting same offer that you want to count.

So you have counted and found that the competition is fierce (many affiliates are promoting same product). Don’t Panic! The good news is that the product is actually in high demand and that’s exactly what you want. However, the bad news is that your Cost Per Click (CPC) will most likely be high for those keywords. This you can overcome by writing a better ad that will yield a high CTR (Click Through Rate), rewarding you with a higher Quality Score and thus a lower CPC.

Now back to the smart affiliate and the magic:
What you want to do now is take each of your keywords for that offer, typing in, one at the time, into any of the above mentioned search engines. The magic happens when you come across a keyword that has high search volume, but very low competition.

Bear in mind that most affiliates either don’t know this trick or are simply too lazy to do the extra work. But what they don’t know or are too lazy to apply causes them to leave a hefty amount of cash on the table. This is bad for them but a great reward for you simply for knowing what to do and applying it.

Even only a few of these keywords, aka golden nuggets, in your arsenal will be enough to bring you tons of leads at a very low CPC. There is where the real money is being made. Those who do the work and are lucky enough to find those keywords, guard them with their lives.  When you find your own golden nuggets that’s exactly what you should do too.

Now that you know this little secret/trick you can also understand why it is so important to gauge the competition.

Affiliate Marketing; Can it be a Home Based Business?

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

Do you ever wish you were your own boss? Does the idea of working from home appeals to you? Have you ever heard of Affiliate Marketing? If your answer to the first two questions is “yes,” then you are in a good company: Millions of people from all over the globe share this wish.

The promise of big money, flexible hours and being your own boss is quite enticing. However, when it comes to actually doing something about it, many are rather skeptical and afraid to make the commitment or even take the first step. To most the idea of having the security of a 9-5 job is quite comforting and the fear of losing it can be rather scary. Yet others are afraid they don’t have the necessary capital to start a business of their own.

There is a simple solution that addresses these concerns. The solution can be found in becoming an affiliate marketer. This is a business you can begin to build gradually while still keeping your regular job. It is something you can start with very little capital or even without any money at all. However, you will need a desk, a computer, an internet connection and a phone. If you have these 4 things, you have all that you need to start your own Internet home based business and earning money as an affiliate marketer.

Simply put, Affiliate marketing, is selling other peoples products or services and getting a cut of the sale’s price, AKA, commission. You don’t have to own the product, store or ship it. You don’t even have to have your own website. All you have to do is advertise, sell the product and collect your commission.

Once you subscribe to an affiliate program you will be assigned an affiliate ID. Armed with it, it is now time to find the product you would like to sell, build a campaign and launce it on one, or several, of the major search engines. Warning: Unless you are familiar with the online advertising and especially PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising it will be a smart idea to begin your journey by learning all that you can about it before you launch any campaign. There is a wealth of free information on the Internet on every aspect of marketing. All you have to do is Google the term you are looking for.

PPC is only one of the methods you will be using to drive traffic to the merchant’s site. It is mention here first because it is the fastest way to test and find out whether or not you have winner. Once found a winner, you can also test the response from the content network where you can choose to Pay Per Click, PPM (Pay Per 1000 Impressions). On some networks you can even use PPV (Pay Per View).

Retail sites such as Amazon and EBay have affiliate marketing programs. All you have to do is generate traffic to the particular product. The more traffic you can generate the more money you will make. Links and blogs are free and they can generate a hefty amount of traffic. There are many other methods by which you can attract traffic to the product you are selling. In time you will learn them all.

Affiliate marking as a home based business should not be scary nor does it require any serious capital to start. Yes there is a learning curve and yes, you will make mistakes. Every one does. The idea is to go into it gradually – do not quit your day job yet – learn all you can in your spare time to the point where you really know what you are doing.
Then, before you know it, you will begin to generate commissions. A great way to start your affiliate marketing journey is by learning how and promoting CPA offers. You can learn about CPA here: CPA Arbitrage
